A day at Delhi

Fourth of July weekend we headed to AJ’s grandparent’s house at Delhi to see family. It was a hot day but we were able to spend time in the shade out on the patio. Lincoln enjoyed learning to crack peanut shells, throw them on the ground then eat the peanut. I didn’t get a lot of pictures but here’s a few pictures to capture our time there!

Michigan trip

At the end of June we drove 7 hours to Michigan for my brother Monte’s wedding. We left after Lincoln’s nap around 2:30pm and got there about 7 hours later. Lincoln didn’t sleep once! I sat in the back with him giving him food and new toys I brought from school to play with. We didn’t even turn on a movie until after supper. He absolutely loved watching Happy Feet. I think he would have fallen asleep if I turned it off, but he was so into it. When we got to the hotel late he became wired. My parents and grandparents shared a door next to us and could hear Lincoln being so hyper..it was funny. He probably didn’t go to sleep until 11:30 pm!! We had a great time hanging out at the beach and spending time with Monte, Erica and her family as well as ours! The wedding was absolutely beautiful!!

Artwork A-Z!

We are all about fun crafts around this household! This is by far my favorite. We bought the wooden letters online and then painted them ourselves. I mean AJ painted them.. I opened the bottles and supervised his work:)

23 months

*This has been the month for finally loving books. His favorite are books about trucks, cars, trains, and dogs. His most favorite book at the moment is actually Goodnight Moon. We have to read it multiple times a day/night. He waves goodnight to everything in the book..so cute!
*Will actually watch a little bit of TV. Likes: Doc McStuffins, Chuggington, Sesame Street and sometimes Mickey Mouse. On our drive to Michigan absolutely loved watching the movie Happy Feet!
*Did a surprisingly amazing job in the 7 hour car ride to Michigan there and back
*Loves going to parks and playing at the pool
*Has been really into stuffed animals lately, especially his sheep, penguin, bear and elephant
*Definitely talking more. He has a lot more new words like ball, sheep, please, go, bubbles. He doesn’t always say the entire word but parts of it.
*Still one very busy boy always on the go!

This was our project tonight. We sorted, glued and melted 135 crayons on a canvas! It took a little longer than anticipated but the finished project was well worth it! Try it out..it’s fun!
