My mom's dad turned 80 this last Friday!! He is so amazing!To celebrate we got together with aunts, uncles, cousins, and so on in Fort Dodge at a hotel. We have out sized grandpa's house by now :)
It was a fun time watchin the young ones go swimmin, hang out in the bar at the hotel, eat cake and watch grandpa open presents. My uncle is such an ISU fan and grandpa a complete Iowa Hawkeye fan. For the first time ever, my uncle gave grandpa an Iowa shirt. This was super hard for him to do. My grandpa LOVED it!! For supper we all ate out downtown in Fort Dodge at Olde Boston's Restaurant and Pub. It was a lot of fun. We had the loft reserved for our big family!
Next month my dad's mom will be turning 85!!
