Basement progress
We have been busy at this house lately finishing our basement. It’s mostly been Aj and our little helper Lincoln. The drywall got put up this last week and there is one coat of mud on. The rest of the mudding and texturing will all be done this week so we will be ready to paint next weekend! We are looking forward to spending lots of time downstairs!
This is looking at the bar and walkout to the left and where the big 120in. screen will be!
Here is the main living area as we walk down the steps. That back area is Lincoln’s play room and then bathroom and two bedrooms are back there too.

Here’s inside one of the bedrooms. The right is hallway and another bedroom on the other side.

17 months
This boy is growing up so fast! I love his laugh, smile, and everything else :)
*Lincoln is really starting to cuddle a lot more. He will wrap his arms around me and give me the biggest hugs. This is my favorite!
*Favorite word besides “yeah” is “oof” (woof). Anytime he sees the dogs he says “oof” or if I say anything to him about going to see the dogs or Abby and Roy he says this. So cute. Some new words “n n n” for no, “ba” for ball.
*Is really starting to listen when we tell him No and most times stops
*Is now walking more – will take 4 or 5 steps at a time and then either fall or sit down and start his super fast crawling. Standing on own much more.
*First time swimming in a pool at a hotel. Loved it but was a little too cold for him!
*Experienced a sick week with the stomach flu. We all got it in a week. Not fun at all.
*Best friend is Roy :)
*Loves to be tickled and wrestle with daddy
*New favorite show is Sesame Street and will actually sit for more than five minutes and watch it!
*Is now obsessed with this book we have had forever, Flower and Friends. It’s a super simple like 4 page plastic book. I am not allowed to read it. One night he grabbed it and HAD to have Aj read it. He likes to insist Aj reads it to him, and over and over again:) One night when Aj was down working in the basement Lincoln wanted Aj to read him the book so he threw it through the gate down the steps!
*His favorite place to be is down in our basement. We have been spending a lot of time down there working on finishing it (drywall all got hung yesterday!). Lincoln absolutely loves to go downstairs and help us out. He carries around all of daddy’s tools. His favorite is the tape measure. Lincoln gets pretty dusty and dirty down there now so can’t wait for it all to be finished soon and spend a lot more time time down there playing!
My climber!

New Years Eve Fun
We enjoyed a fun night out downtown with friends Tasha and Kyle! It started with a delicious supper of lobster and steak made my Kyle. Then we headed downtown..can’t believe I made it past midnight :) Excited for this 2013 year!

A first
Well Lincoln has his first black eye. Sometimes he has little falls…and as he was falling he hit the corner of the end table. Ouch. Sorry buddy. These pictures are from my phone so they aren’t the best but I had to document it. It looks a little more bruised now. Even though it was super painful, this boy is a trooper and continues to have no fear!

More Christmas pictures!
Christmas Eve: We spent the day at home then went to church at 5:00. After we went to my parents house for soup and sandwiches. My grandma and AJ’s parents joined us.
Lincoln cracked up laughing at this mistle toe and had fun trying to grab it!
I love this picture!!!
Christmas Day: We opened presents up in the morning at our house. Lincoln was excited to find his own chair! He loves this thing!! For lunch we went to my grandma’s house. Lincoln spent much of his time playing with/on/in the dog kennel :) We wanted to keep up the bowling tradition but it was a little too hard with Lincoln this year. We relaxed in the afternoon at home then later went to Wild Hare and ate. Em and Rick met us there after their movie!
This kid is just like his daddy. Already knows how to use tools!
A sucker in the morning, why not!?
Lincoln wanted to cuddle with my uncle John!
This kid is such a climber..no fear what so ever!
We had a great Christmas! It was fun having time off spending precious time with my boy. Now back to work we go tomorrow!
