I absolutely love this busy stage! Here are some fun things from this month:
-Spit up is practically gone so weaning him off his acid reflex meds
-Concentrates so hard while playing
-Puffs his cheeks and makes the “b b b” sound
-Constantly shakes his head NO when you talk to him :)
-Has a mean little bite!
-Before he sat up just okay but more only when I sat him up, but we took him back to the chiropractor last week and found out he did not have good range of motion in his left hip so got that adjusted. Dr. Blake said a lot of kids start walking after he works on that. Well I now can say he is sitting all the time from laying to sitting constantly! Just in the past couple days he is pulling himself up on things, especially in his crib. I have also found teeth marks in his crib! He still army crawls everywhere. He tries so hard to crawl with all fours, so close.
-His fine motor skills are also improving. His PT says this just will keep getting better as his trunk strengthens. He figured out how to put balls in his elephant toy and other toys now. I love watching him do this!! He will sit for long periods of time just putting balls in and taking them out.
-Still eats table food and completely enjoys it. Some new foods this month he has loved are: French toast sticks, smoothies, corn (makes gross diapers;), omelets, ravioli. We are working on milk in Sippy cup. He has also started some of the time drinking from a straw.
-Very obsessed with playing with doors. He loves to open and close drawers but had our first finger pinch yesterday. Bruises show up all over!
-Visited his new little friend born last week, Mason Geopfert. We then went and visited nurses in the NICU. They could hardly recognize him!
-Got baptized this past Sunday, exactly 11 months old. It was a great day – that post will be next!
